Use the checklists provided in the attached PDF to record MIPS reporting information for all providers. It is the participating clinician’s responsibility to gather the requirements for MIPS reporting.
General Audit Information
CMS are actively conducting audits of providers who have attested to MIPS. These can be either pre- or post-payment audits. It is extremely important that you take steps to prepare for a potential audit. This begins with fully meeting and faithfully attesting to each and every measure. Furthermore, you need to maintain an “audit file” of documentation, including reports, screen captures, and other information to prepare in advance in the event of an audit.
