The Rx Refill Requests feature enables patients to submit medication refill requests to their providers from within the NextGen® Office Patient Portal. Set up prescribers to receive refill requests in Administration: Rx Refill Requests.
Requirements
Open Administration: Rx Refill Request
- On the menu bar, click Admin.
- Below Premium Portal Management, click Rx Refill Requests.
Enable Rx Refill Requests for the Prescriber
- Select the Enable Portal Requests check box.
- From the Mailbox Recipient menu, select the recipient of the Rx refill request messages. To add another recipient, click +More.
- Click Save.
Rx Refill Request Messages in Tasks & Messages
The message recipient receives Rx refill request messages in Tasks & Messages. Click the Patient Messages tab.
