The Rx Refill Requests feature enables patients to submit medication refill requests to their providers from within the NextGen® Office Patient Portal. Set up prescribers to receive refill requests in Administration: Rx Refill Requests.

Requirements

Open Administration: Rx Refill Request

  1. On the menu bar, click Admin.
  2. Below Premium Portal Management, click Rx Refill Requests.

Enable Rx Refill Requests for the Prescriber

  1. Select the Enable Portal Requests check box.
  2. From the Mailbox Recipient menu, select the recipient of the Rx refill request messages. To add another recipient, click +More.
  3. Click Save.

Rx Refill Request Messages in Tasks & Messages

The message recipient receives Rx refill request messages in Tasks & Messages. Click the Patient Messages tab.
