Request E-visits as a Patient

Patients can request an e-visit appointment with their provider fom their YourHealthFile® Patient Portal account. 

In our example, the patient is requesting a first available appointment with date range and time range.

  1. On the home page, click the Schedule an Appointment tile.

  1. From the Patient Appointment menu, select Request e-Visit.
  2. Review and acknowledge the disclaimer by selecting the check box.

  1. Select the Location, Doctor, and Reason.

  1. Select the Requested Date, Preferred Day, Appointment Time and Preferred Method of communication (how the patient prefers to communicate during the e-visit).
  2. Click Request e-Visit.

The patient has successfully requested an e-visit.

Since the patient did not select a specific time, the e-visit appointment does not appear on the Upcoming Appointments page. After the practice schedules the appointment, it will appear on this page with the check-in option under Action.

The patient receives an email confirming that the appointment request was received.
