Proof of Access Letter
Proof of ownership or access to certified EHR technology (CEHRT) is one of the key pieces of information needed to respond to a MIPS or Medicaid Promoting Interoperability (PI) Stage 3 audit. An auditor will likely request that you provide a proof of access letter (also called a vendor letter or CEHRT letter).
CDS Verification Letter
For Medicaid PI Stage 3, an auditor will likely ask for a Clinical Decision Support (CDS) verification letter (or CDS letter) to verify that you have implemented drug utilization review (DUR).
How to Request Letters
If you are audited, you must first request the appropriate letter from NextGen® Healthcare.
