The Family Hx section allows the user to easily add a patient’s family members to the system, including family members’ medical histories and their positive and negative conditions.
- From the NextGen Office EHR Dashboard, click the magnifying glass icon to search for and open a patient’s chart.
- Select the Family Hx tab from the top bar.
- Click Add Family member to add a family member.
- Click Import Family HX to import family members from another patient’s chart.
Add a Family Member
- After clicking Add Family member, complete the requested information.
- Click Add/Edit History to add the family member’s medical history.
- Select the conditions that the patient confirms or denies from the Common Conditions buttons.
- If a condition is not listed among the buttons, search for the condition by typing it into the search bar or clicking Extended Search.
- Select Other Conditions to add specific information about the medical information.
- Select the category and the specific condition.
- Click Back to Family History to save the information.
Import Family Hx
- Click Import Family HX.
- Select or search for the patient.
- Select the patient and click Import.
