On April 27, 2016, CMS issued its eagerly-awaited proposed rule for implementing MACRA – or, Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Alternative Payment Model (APM) Incentive under the Physician Fee Schedule and Criteria for Physician-Focused Payment Models.
