Order Results Entered Using Quick Results May Not Be Saved When Using a Procedure Code Description with 95 or More Characters

NextGen Healthcare has identified an issue with NextGen® Office that occurs when placing an order using a procedure code description with 95 or more characters; as a result, the order results cannot be saved using Quick Results.
Steps to Recreate the Issue
- Open NextGen® Office EHR, create or open a patient chart, and then create an encounter.
- From the SOAP menu, select P > Orders > New Radiology, New Consult, or New Office Test.
- Select an ICD-10 code, a facility and provider, and a test/consult type.
- Under Procedures, search for and select a code with a description of 95 characters or more (including spaces), such as 0122U or 0220U.
- Select Create Order & Result.
- In Quick Results, select a status, select Clinically Sig, and then select Quick Save.
- Although saving appears to be in progress, the results are not saved.
Actions Required
Until this issue is fixed, users can create a custom description in Admin: Consult/Office Test/ Radiology that contains 94 characters or fewer. For orders that have a long description, users can either hide and recreate the order by using a procedure code description of 94 characters or fewer or change the procedure code description to 94 characters or fewer and copy the order.
