Entering the Gestational Age into a Vital Signs Record with a Date That Differs from the Encounter Date May Cause the OB Observations to Not Appear

Issue
NextGen Healthcare has identified an issue with NextGen® Office where entering the gestational age in a vital signs record with a date that differs from the encounter date causes the Obstetric Observations to not appear.
Steps to Recreate the Issue
- Create or open a chart for a pregnant patient, and then open an encounter whose vitals entry date does not match the encounter date.
- From SOAP, select O > Vital Signs.
- Enter a Weeks Gest. (Best est.) amount that is different from what would be calculated in Obstetric Observations.
- From SOAP, select O > Physical Exam > Obstetric.
No line item is available for entering OB Observation data.
Actions Required
Until this issue is fixed, users can enter vitals for the same day the encounter was created. If the OB Observations does not have a field to enter the encounter data, users can change Service Date of the encounter to the date when the vitals were entered.

This issue will be fixed in a future release.
