Editing Forwarded Tasks May Cause Them to Be Deleted

Issue
NextGen Healthcare has identified an issue with NextGen® Office where editing forwarded tasks causes them to be deleted.
Steps to Recreate the Issue
- Log on to NextGen® Office EHR (User A), and select the Tasks and Messages Tool icon.
- Select another user (User B) under User List.
- Select Message for Type, enter a Subject, enter a message, and then select Save.
- Log off NextGen Office, and then log on as User B.
- Select the Task and Messages tab, and then select the message sent by User A.
- Select Forward, select a third user (User C) as the recipient, and then select Save.
- Log off NextGen Office, and then log on as User C.
- Open the Task and Messages tab, and then select the message forwarded from the User B
- Select Forward, and then select User B as the recipient.
- Log off NextGen Office, and then log on as User B.
- Open the Task and Messages tab, and then select the message forwarded from User C.
- Select Edit, and then select Update.
The forwarded message has disappeared from the task list.
Actions Required
Until this issue is fixed, users can create a new task thread instead of forwarding a task back to a user. The edited task can be found in Deleted View for reference purposes.

This issue will be fixed in a future release.
