Certain Allergies Entered Using the Common Allergies List May Not Appear and May Cause an Alert

Issue

NextGen Healthcare has identified an issue with NextGen® Office where certain allergies entered through the Common Allergies list do not appear in the encounter or the chart.

Steps to Recreate the Issue

  1. Open NextGen® Office EHR, create or open a patient chart, and then create an encounter.
  2. Select the Allergies tab, and then select Add Allergy Status.
  3. Select Antihistamines, Gluten Protein, Shellfish, St John’s Wort, or Vitamin C.
  4. Select from Adverse Reaction, and then select Today.
  5. Select Done, and then select Back To Allergy List.

An alert appears.

  1. Select Save.

The allergy is not saved to the chart or encounter.

Actions Required

Until this issue is fixed, users can enter text in the search field and select the applicable allergy. Additionally, users can customize common allergies by using Save as Favorite or using Common Allergies from Admin: Allergies.

Status

This issue will be fixed in a future release.
