Issue

In NextGen® Office EHR, users with the Admin Clerk prescribing role (Pharmacy Role in Administration: User Maintenance) can deny renewal requests when they should only have read-only access to the Pharmacy Alerts pages, and, therefore, should not be able to take action on pharmacy requests.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. User with Admin Clerk prescribing role logs in to NextGen Office.
  2. Open the Pharmacy Messages page.
  3. Select the prescriber.
  4. Select the row and then click Deny.
  5. Select a Denial Reason.
  6. Click Deny.

Action Required

Reinforce office policies and procedures regarding who is authorized to deny renewal requests.

Status

This issue was fixed on February 24, 2022.
