Patient Message Sent from Patient B's Order in NextGen Office EHR but Patient A Received Patient Message in NextGen Office Patient Portal

Issue
In NextGen® Office EHR, when a patient message is sent to a patient (patient B) from the Orders Dashboard outside of the patient chart, the message may either fail or be sent to the previously opened patient chart of patient A.
Steps to Reproduce
In NextGen Office EHR, patient A's chart is open so this patient is in context.
- Select Orders
to open the Orders Dashboard.
There should be no patient in context.
- From Filter View, select Reviewed Results to show orders with reviewed results.
- Select an order for patient B.
- Select Patient Message.
- Compose the message and select Save.
- Patient B logs in to their NextGen Office Patient Portal account, selects the Test Results tile to view the test result and the patient message.
The test result appears, but the patient message does not appear.
- Patient A logs in to their NextGen Office Patient Portal account and selects the Test Results tile to view the test result and the patient message.
The test result and patient message for patient B appears.
Action Required
Use one of the following workarounds:
- From the Orders Dashboard, select an order and select Results. Select Patient Message.
- From the patient chart, select Tasks and Messages Tool
and select Patient Message.
