Other Symptoms Do Not Appear on Allergies Page or in Encounter

Issue

In NextGen® Office EHR, on the Allergies page, free-form text entered under Other Symptoms does not appear on the Allergies page or in the encounter.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add an allergy or update an allergy from either the chart or the encounter.
  2. Under Other Symptoms, enter free-form text allergy symptoms.

    The symptoms do not appear under Symptoms on the Allergies page or in the encounter.

Action Required

Do not add symptoms under Other Symptoms. You can add symptoms to the Allergies top note in the encounter. You must click Yes next to Would you like to add this note to the present encounter?. The note will appear in Encounter Summary Preview and the encounter summary PDF, but will not appear in the clinical summary C-CDA.

This issue was fixed on March 4, 2021.
