Issue
In NextGen® Office Practice Management, insurance claims that are resubmitted to non-claim charges cause balancing issues.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an insurance claim.
- Click
. - Click Enter Non-Claim Charges.
- Remove the CPT codes and replace them with non-claim charge codes.
- Click Save Charges.
Action Required
We do not recommend that clients perform this workflow. We recommend one of the following alternatives:
- Move the insurance balance to the patient balance
- Resubmit to self pay (but not non-claim)
- Write off the insurance balance and create a new claim
