Encounter Summary Does Not Show Patient Data When No Rendering Provider Is Selected in Encounter

Issue

In NextGen® Office EHR, when no rendering provider is selected in the encounter before patient data is entered from within Subjective in the SOAP note, the data does not appear in the Encounter Summary Preview, C-CDA, or clinical summary PDF.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in as a user who is not a provider.
  2. Create an encounter, but do not select a rendering provider.
  3. Document patient data in SOAP > Subjective.
  4. Select the encounter # to open the Encounter Summary Preview.
Patient data entered in Subjective does not appear. Data also does not show in the C-CDA or the clinical summary PDF.

Action Required

Select the rendering provider prior to documenting in the encounter.

This issue was fixed on June 1, 2023.
