Issue
NextGen Healthcare has identified an issue with NextGen® Office where ePrescribing medication results in the Pharmacy not receiving the Sig information when using gm, mg, mcg, or mL in the Units drop down and there is text in the Additional Sig field.
Steps to Recreate the Issue

  1. Open NextGen Office EHR, Create or open a patient chart, and then create an encounter.
  2. Select P, and then select Prescribe.
  3. Select New Medication, and then select a Medication.
  4. For Units, select mL, mg, mcg or gm.
  5. Enter text into the Additional Sig field.
  6. Select Save and ePrescribe.
The pharmacy will not receive the SIG values.  Only the Additional Sig information will be sent to the Pharmacy.

Actions Required
This issue is fixed. For applicable medications that should not have the Administration verb Use populated in the Sig text, Additional Sig must be selected in the Units dropdown and the complete Sig instructions placed in Additional Sig.
