Issue

In NextGen® Office EHR, an issue has been identified in Vital Signs in Encounters. When you delete an entry from either the LABS-URINE or LABS-BLOOD tab and click Cancel on the Additional Information screen, the height and weight units incorrectly appear. The unit buttons also can no longer be toggled. If you click Save, the vitals no longer appear.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open an encounter.
  2. On the SOAP menu, select O > Vital Signs.
  3. Click Enter Vitals.
  4. Click Additional Information.
  5. Enter the patient's height and weight.
  6. Click the LABS-URINE or LABS-BLOOD tab and add an entry.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click the same custom form tab in step 6 and delete the entry.
  9. Click the Vital Signs tab and click Additional information
The height and weight units correctly appear.
  1. Click Cancel
  2. Click the date corresponding to the vitals entry.
  3. Click Additional Information.
The height and weight units incorrectly appear.
  1. Click Save
The height and weight no longer appear.

Action Required

After deleting the lab entry, save the vital signs record rather than cancel; however, this must be done before the units appear on the units button.
