Claims for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey Are Rejected for Having the Same Billing and Rendering Provider Information

Issue
NextGen Healthcare has identified an issue with NextGen® Office PM where claims for Horizon Blue Cross® Blue Shield® of New Jersey are rejected for having the same billing and rendering provider information.
Steps to Recreate the Issue
- Open NextGen Office PM, create or open a patient chart, and then create an encounter.
- Select Billing, and then select Enter Charges.
- On the Billing & Providers tab, select Dual Provider for Rendering Provider, and select Dual Provider for Billing Provider.
- Enter the other required information, and then select Create Claim.
Both the billing provider and rendering provider appear in the claim details and in the ANSI file for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.
Actions Required
Until this issue is fixed, users can select No Rendering Provider instead of Dual Provider in the claim.
