Release Date
July 11, 2022
Known Issue #
KI199982
Issue
NextGen® Office EHR is integrated with Bamboo Health (formerly known as Appriss Health), our Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) reporting solutions partner. Bamboo Health updated requirements for the state of California, which caused the PDMP report to be unavailable in the Medication module.
Steps to Reproduce
Open a Medication module page – Prescribe and Medication History in the encounter or Medication List in the patient chart. The View Bamboo Report option is not available.
Action Required
The Department of Justice (DOJ) released the optimized Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System (CURES). This is unrelated, and should not be confused with, the 21st Century Cures Act. As part of the transition to the optimized CURES, from April 11, 2022, providers in California needed to complete some information the first time they logged in to CURES following the update. For now, Bamboo Health advises providers to manually log in to CURES to search for a patient’s PDMP report.
- Log in to CURES with your username and password.
- Review and agree to the CURES terms and conditions.
- Verify your DOJ identity by completing five personal identity questions.
- First name at birth
- Last name at birth
- Mother's maiden name
- Place of birth
- Date of birth
