Instructions | Potential Non-Clinical UrgentKnown Issue #KI203222Release DateApril 17, 2024IssueNextGen® Office has identified an issue where a systolic blood pressure (BP) of 140 or diastolic BP of 90 appears as normal under Vital Signs and in the Vital Signs module under Blood Pressure. The abnormal flag will show if the systolic is 141 or greater or the diastolic is 91 or greater when it should appear for any systolic BP over 139 or diastolic BP over 89.Steps to Recreate the Issue
- Open NextGen Office, and then select EHR.
- Create or open a patient chart, and then create an encounter.
- Select the Encounters tab, and then select New Encounter.
- Select O, select Vital Signs, and then select Enter Vitals.
- For Pressure, enter 140 for Systolic or 90 for Diastolic.
- Select Done.
The BP is flagged as normal instead of abnormal.
- Select Save.
No abnormal BP alerts appear.
- Select the Encounter # button.
The Encounter Summary Preview window appears with an abnormal BP alert.Actions RequiredUntil the issue is fixed, users can use the Encounter Summary Preview to review blood pressure with the proper alerts.StatusThis issue was resolved on July 25, 2024.
