Issue

NextGen Healthcare has identified an issue with Family History in NextGen® Office where Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis is abbreviated incorrectly.

Steps to Recreate the Issue

  1. Open NextGen® Office, and then select EHR.

  2. Create or open a patient chart.
  3. Select the Family Hx tab.
  4. Under Father, select Add /Edit History.
  5. Enter Amyotrophic in the search bar, and then select Yes next to AML - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
AML - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis appears instead of ALS - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

Actions Required

Currently, this issue does not have a workaround.

This issue was resolved on February 22, 2024.
